Almond oil is a fatty oil expressed from the seeds of the sweet almond, used in preparing perfumes and confections (Dictionary.com, nd).

Almond oil is made from almonds, so if you have an allergy to almonds avoid products containing this oil. Additionally, watch for adverse effects if you have any tree nut allergies, since almond oil can still cause an allergic reaction upon ingestion, or simple contact with the skin.

Common Uses:

Almond oil is commonly used in recipes as well as skin-care products. It can also be used for frying foods, so make sure to ask what type of oil the food is being prepared in before consumption.
